Tom Thomson Package

Tom Thomson Package $750 pp (2 people max)

ALL INCLUSIVE

2 days Culinary and Interpretive Trip back in time...

Upon arrival guests will be shown to their room, after a meet and greet with your host, me, and a tour of our facilities, I will serve a “loggers camp style" breakfast and we will be on our way to a lake determined by the fish we are fishing. We will fish in the morning and by noon you will be relaxing while I set camp, make a fire, clean our catch and serve a traditional shore lunch with a few slight culinary additions of my own. Afterwards, I will take you, in a canoe, on a guided tour on the very lake that claimed painter Tom Thomson’s life. There are many questions and lore. Was he murdered, did he fall and bang his head, did one suspicious Inn owner see what happened and not say anything? Why not inspect his overturned canoe? Let me show you and where it all unfolded,  and you can determine for yourself what happened that fateful day July 8th 1917 and with some luck maybe catch a fish too..

After the tour of Canoe lake we will head back out for an evening of fishing while the sunsets and waters become glass we will slowly make our way back to shore.

At this time you may relax in our parlor, play a game, enjoy free wifi light reading or just relax by the fireside by our backyard wood burning fire. I may have my smoker smoking away something delicious for you that night possibly, A nightly Hors D’oeuvres feature followed by a seasonal  3 course Prix Fixe. to end the evening…

Afterwards, relax fireside under the stars and take in the beautiful sky, a short walk to the beach is a great way to finish the night. In the morning breakfast is served at 630am hot coffee and a traditional Algonquin “Highland Inn” Breakfast. After breakfast we head out onto the water and fish until noon.. We will head back to shore where a box lunch will be ready upon check out.
